I have recently begun keeping a dream journal in order to make my dream recall better. However, I often find that when my alarm goes off I doze back off to sleep before I can get up and write down my dreams.
Does anyone have any advice for staying awake at the wee hours of the morning in order to recall dreams?
I never had any problems before but around the start of the summer I stoped recording my dreams and now im lucky to get one a night :( i guess its just one of those things you gota practice :?
Do you actually get up to record them? Do do you just stay in bed? I find that getting out of bed to do ANYTHING dream-related is the best way to do things.

I typically stay in bed and just try to write things there. I read on the website that getting up and moving might cause me to lose the dream what I am trying to recall. Do you think it would be helpful to put my journal on the other side of the room and actually get up and go over to it to write?
That's exactly what I'm saying. :) As long as you're upright, you'll be fine.
