Questttttion.
Well.
Hi, I'm new. :]
But, I had a question.
What the hell was this?:
I was focusing, trying to perform a WILD, and all that.
And I was kinda like..half awake, half asleep, when my legs started shaking like crazy, and I couldn't move my arms.
I'm figuring, that's what's supposed to happen...but, like...the horizon I was seeing in my head suddenly opened up, and it felt like I could step into it.
I also figured that's what was supposed to happen.
So, I envisioned my picking glasses off of my friends face, (don't ask me why, but that's what I was seeing in my head...) and I don't know what happened after that, but I got extremely nervous, and the vision just slowly faded from me completely; I woke up.
Was that me about to go into lucidity but getting too anxious?
Cause, my God, I was scared. x]

You know, I think I had an unintentional episode similar to that once. I was laying in bed going to sleep, and a part of my mind was active but I couldn't get my body to move. I didn't lucid dream though because it scared the hell out of me and I basically flooded my mind forcing myself awake. I didn't know what it was at the time

What you describe is classic sleep paralysis (SP) and hypnagogic hallucinations (HH). The sensation of the vibrating legs and paralyized arms was SP. SP can also feel like falling, hot or cold, rocking, etc. The horizon and your friend's head was HH. HH is what happens as a dream starts to form right before you are completely asleep. So you were really close to a successful WILD.
Good job!

You were very close. You may have also suffered a false awakening, where you dream that you wake up. That happens a lot with WILDs. But yeah, all that stuff is supposed to happen, after a while it stops being scary and is fun. Check out the tutorial section for more on WILDs.
