hi
Hey Everyone! I'm new, obv, and I was just going to introduce myself. I'm Jelly Bean.
And, I also have two questions. If you fall in your sleep and hit the ground/floor, can you feel it????? And does it take a long time to be able to lucid dream??? I know it depends on different people, but I can already tell if I'm dreaming.
Thanks!!!

Yo homie G. Im new to....Isnt this lucid dream thing Like the hardest shit to do!?! its soooooooo tough Im even thinking about giving up....Cause I cant afford to buy any of the "machines". It sounds like SOOOOO much fun though....So have you ever had a lucid dream?

lol yeah it is..although I haven't seriously tried yet. I'm planning on starting it tonight lol
and yeah, once, a few weeks ago! I didn't realize that I was actually controling it until like 3 hours ago lol..it was an AWESOME dream though lol...u?

:welcome:
Usually when I hit the floor, I have a Hypnic Jerk. They feel great in bed, but not at school.
As for how long it takes, it varies. It took me 7 months, and when I had my 1st I was in total euphoria all day.
It's also good you know what it feels like if your dreaming. Just like the length of time it takes to have one, the feel of a dream varies from person to person.
Now I have some things to ask you. :)
Do you keep a Dream Journal? That's one of the things that will help you get lucid faster.
And how's your recall? Boosting recall will also help greatly.
-
Thanks!!
I am not really keeping a dream journal, although I am about to start doing so
and usually i can recall my dreams
-
Awesome. :)
If you don't mind me asking, what are the reoccurring nightmares you've been having about?

Well it happens different ways, but i'm always drowning and it gets to the point where i can't move or breathe and i start to freak out...usually before it gets so intense i don't realize it's a dream but then i'm thinking I HAVE TO WAKE UP!! So I start trying to force myself to wake up by moving and trying to breathe....once I woke up and hit myself in the head bc i was trying to move my arms...but when I wake up i'm NOT breathing and it takes a minute for me to start breathing again....the first one someone saved me but after that no one does
My friend was trying to help me by trying to figure out if it was something in my past that is causing it, but we can't so I found out about lucid dreaming so i'm trying that now
-
Ah, ok.
Well it looks like part of you wants to become lucid in those dreams. You really are on your way! :D
Are you trying any techniques to get Lucid?
-
well I read that i should do RCs during the day so that i will be more likely to do it in my dreams so i've been doing that
and I read online somewhere (it might have been somewhere on this website idk i read so many yesterday lol) that if you read about it before you go to bed and then wake up after 4-6 hours and then think about the dream you had and go back to sleep then that will help...i did both of it but this morning when my alarm went off i jumped and turned it off, which caused me to forget my dream lol
