Hello Everyone
Hey, I'm obviously new here.
Alright, I've been having some major problems here:
1. I have terrible dream recall. Most nights I don't remember any dream at all.
2. When I do have dreams, I never seems to be able to remember to do reality checks.
3. I've been lucid about 3 times. Each for like 2 seconds. All of them have been false awakenings during a dream. I knew I wasn't awake each time because I didn't wake up in my own bed.
4. All of those times I was lucid, I immediately woke up. I wasn't surprised or exited, my eyes just opened up in real life and I couldn't go back asleep.
5. I am always extremely tired when I wake up. Extremely. I can't go back to sleep though.
6. I heard that it is hard to dream/lucid dream during puberty. Is this true? It would probably explain all of my problems here.
I hope somebody can explain these problems to me, and I hope that I have a good time at this forum. Thanks!

1. I have terrible dream recall. Most nights I don't remember any dream at all.
-Start a dream journal. When you wake up, try going through a list of friends/events. Sometimes a name or place will bring up a memory of a dream.
2. When I do have dreams, I never seems to be able to remember to do reality checks.
-Same problem. I do RC's whenever somethign odd ro out of the ordinary happens, it's worked 3 times so far.
-Never happened to me :/, hopefully someone else can help.
5. I am always extremely tired when I wake up. Extremely. I can't go back to sleep though.
-After a lucid, when?
6. I heard that it is hard to dream/lucid dream during puberty. Is this true? It would probably explain all of my problems here.
-Never heard that. Maybe due to stress?
P.S. Welcome to DV

1. Waking up in the middle of the night helped me most with this problem. Also, just lie there and think about your dreams for a while before moving at all.
2. I don't either until I already assume I'm lucid, but RCs are less about actually doing the RC and more about training yourself to question your reality.
3. FAs are are common ways for people to enter LDs.
4. Even if the dream seems like it's fading, don't open your eyes. Sometimes the dream will fade into another dream or a FA. Once you've had more LDs, you will find things you can do that will help you stay in your LDs longer.
5. That's probably just puberty. I was the same way.
6. I hadn't heard that before. I had my most vivid and detailed dreams when I was in 8-10 grade.
