My brother is a natural - Any advice for him?

      Hi everyone -

I was talking to my 10 yr old younger brother today when nobody was around, and for interest I asked him what he dreamed about last night. What he explained was very abnormal - it wasn't the sort of thing someone just dreamed about. It gave the impression he had total control over his dreams. I questioned him thoroughly, and he showed all signs of being a lucid dreamer - the way he explained sometimes waking up in bed, and realizing he was dreaming, and he explained how he has total control. He consciously knows what he is doing when he is dreaming, and he has a lot of control. He said that's how he has been dreaming almost every time since he was very young - in fact, he thought this was normal and how everyone dreams. I honestly don't think he is lying.

I showed him how I'm learning how to do this, and now that he knows a few base rules of dream control he seems pretty content. He then, though, complained he has trouble waking from his dreams. Can anybody offer him some assistance?

      Thankyou .

perhaps going to sleep while he's dreaming will wake him up. i've heard it somewhere in this forum, it wouldn't hurt to try. or maybe flying really fast in a blur, or spinning around in the same manner, basically "breaking" from the dream.

one reason why he might have trouble waking up sometimes might be because he is in a deep REM cycle at the time, which can last about an hour, so it would be difficult to wake him up regardless.

i hope this helps, if it doesn't than it's at least worth a try.

Hey, your brother is lucky =D

      congrat your brother!
anyways, a surefire way ive always woken up from ANYTHING- is just to blink really hard and really fast(you have to FORCE your eyelids open), works every time.

this might not work for you or him, but its worked for me, and my cousin taught it to me, so it should work.

I'm able to wake from my dreams whenever I want. I make myself become aware of my physical body. Usually I become aware of what my physical body is hearing first. Then when I'm in touch with my physical body I try to move. Sometimes it is very hard, but it always works for me. I'm a natural, too. I stumbled upon this technique when I was a kid.
