      New experiences in a dream

      Hi all,

I'm Roy, and i'm new in this forum and all these lucid dreams thing.

I read most of the articles here and found it very fascinating and I am planning on starting my own dream journal (maybe make it an online one too )

I was wondering about one specific thing :
In a lucid dream, can you experience something you haven't experienced before?
like, I've read someone wrote he flew high enough as if he was watching the world from Google Earth , and then he said something like "Thank god i use Google Earth a lot so i know how this should look like"
well, If he didn't know how it should look like - will the brain make up something? or you just won't be able to do/see that thing?

      Thanks
      Roy

      lol,

But how would i know how it should be like/ or /how it should look like if i never done/saw it?

It's maybe cuz i watch too many Sci-Fi shows , but i picture myself seeing blurry incomplete stuff, like people with out a face cuz i don't know how they should look like , and stuff like that

      Hi Roy! Welcome to DV!

From what I've experienced, if you haven't experienced something before in real life, your brain will make it up in the dream. However, if you make your brain try to do that in a lucid dream you may wake yourself up. Not saying that is the case for everyone, but that seems to be how it works for me.
