go to bed earlier. yeah I know it sucks but try sleeping at like 11pm or so or earlier. Also if you want ample time drink a lot of water, that will cause you to wake up for a short while in the night to write em down. |

So, I've been doing a dream journal for over a week now and I've ran into some problems. Thanks to school, I have to get up at 6 and leave by 6:45. Every morning when I wake up, I'm usually too tired to stay awake while writing down dreams. However, whenever I'm not too tired to stay awake, I don't seem to have enough time to write down my dreams seeing as I have to take a shower, eat breakfast and get ready for school. Any suggestions about how I should go about solving this problem? |

Try to focus on writing your dreams down in the middle of the night. You naturally wake briefly after every dream. Normally, we don't pay any attention to these wakings. We just roll over and go back to sleep, immediately forgetting they ever happened. Try to use them as a time to write down your dreams from earlier in the night. You may still miss the last dream right before you wake up, but you will still get to enjoy the others. |

I personally hate waking up in the middle of the night to write things down. I usually just write down key words and phrases when I wake up, then take time later in the day to flesh them out. As I flesh my ideas out, more of the dream comes back to me. I usually do it before I go to bed so I can get into a dreaming mindset. |

Do you have a camera? Could you make a dream video blog as you're getting ready? Just put a camera up in the bathroom so you can save some time in the morning, that way you don't have to take any extra time out of your schedule, you can just go through all of the symbols and scenes on camera, that way you can go back and document them later in writing if need be, but at least you'll have something taped to refresh your dream memory. Usually if I remind myself and replay the dream over and over, it just sticks and I can pick through the important details of it when something similiar presents itself in life, in cases of precognition. |
