Noob here~ Hi!
Hi there! I found this forum as a result of trying to find resources for an essay on lucid dreaming. In fact, I should be writing that essay right now, but this forum was too interesting not to join!
Anyway, I've been interested in lucid dreaming for ages, but I'm not exactly skilled in it yet. I used to have lucid dreams occasionally when I was little, but I lost the ability for a while.
I finally had my first lucid dream in years two nights ago. I'm not sure what type it was - I fell asleep normally, but as soon as the dream started I knew it was a dream. It didn't last very long, but the first thing I did was test out what I could do by changing the setting into a pretty green meadow that had featured in a dream a few nights back. Then I turned some random guy into my favourite actor. However, his voice wasn't the actor's, but a really high-pitched, weirdly-accented one. This frustrated me so much I accidentally woke myself up. XD
Anyway, sorry for the long intro! I'm looking forward to looking around the forums and learning more!

Hey! Welcome to Dreamviews :) Its good that you have had one before, it should make the process of having more even easier. So what is your essay about?

Hey alicepotato, its great to have you with us! I haven't had a LD in a while so good for you! You should keep practicing LDing for yourself to better your essay even more; I'd love to read that essay. Anyways, here's the Acronym List to get you started.

Thanks for the welcome, guys!
As for the essay, I haven't quite narrowed down the topic yet - the assignment was really open-ended. But I'm focusing mainly on a brief overview of lucid dreaming in various cultures (particularly Asia) and my own attempts.
