Hey there :D Welcome to Dream Views! So, you say your dream recall is okay. How many dreams a night are you remembering? Also, why don't you read up on these tutorials http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=69883 they have alot fo helpful information. And don't forget to read the main site www.dreamviews.com Both of these links have soooo much information that should clear up alot of things for you. So how did you get into Lucid Dreaming? If you ever need any help after you read those links, feel free to PM me and I'll do what I can :)
Hey x knight, welcome :)
I know, it can seem very confusing at first. Starting with the basics, you've mentioned dream recall- presumably you've been working on that, or had a good base to build from? Keep a journal, write down as many dreams as you can. About how many are you remembering a night?
One of the next steps will be to read through all of your recent dreams and find if there is anything that you commonly dream about, we call these dream signs, and they are literally that- a sign that you may be dreaming. While you're keeping an eye out for these, start to do reality checks whenever you come across or think about your dream signs in real life. The goal is to cause yourself to stop and say, "Am I dreaming?" while doing a behavior that usually symbolizes that you are dreaming (as it is impossible for them to occur in RL).
If you're really interested in a one-on-one approach, there is an adoption program where an experienced lucid dreamer can pair up with you and teach you the ropes. Us Dream Guides are also very friendly, knowledgeable, and simply here to help you. So if you have any questions, feel free to ask on here, through PMs, and also in the chat (button is in the top right corner of the webpage, right beneath were it will say "Welcome, X Knight") If you've got any, please ask and know that we are an entire community dedicated to helping people learn to lucid dream :)
One of the other best things that you can do is just submerse yourself in lucid dreaming while building the knowledge of it. Read everything on the forums, maybe get a book. Don't feel that just because you are a beginner you shouldn't be reading in the dream control forums, it's actually the opposite. Read that, read about others' experiences, even check out their dream journals. Just learn everything you can about it, really think about what people are saying and try to remember all the advice :)
Hi
It looks like they have got you off on the right foot.
WELCOME!! :)
yep. i made this post after i had a dream. in the dream i was like this is just a dream. i expected a snap pop and crack but notthing like that happen. i got kind of angry then i said to my self "men im going to wake up" and i did but i did not see any dream signs. could it had been that i went to sleep thinking about lucid dream and all the other things on this site or is it progress
I'm not sure what you're asking, exactly. It is very possible and common to just realize that you are in a dream without recognizing why or seeing dreamsigns and even thinking about reality checks. Sometimes you'll just know, and be lucid.
Why'd you tell yourself to wake up??
i must of had doubt but the thing that bugs me is was my mind awoke or even a little. i cant seem to explain
that happened to me after almost my first or second day reading stuff on this site. I read some tutorials and posts, didn't get into reality checks or anything, I just had that realization that I was dreaming. I couldn't hold onto it for very long, but I thought it was pretty amazing. I'd say it's progress. Don't stress out about it. :)
Looks like shift gave you all the tutorials that you will need so I'll just say :welcome:
i think im have a problem. this is the dream i had last night im play the piano at work in produce were the banana's should have been then i was like this is crazy i did a check, my hands was blurry so like ok im dreaming but it did not feel real like. almost like i had a reguler dream that i did a reality check and in dreams before that id do a check then its all black then im woke or it feel like its just a reguler dream of me trying to get lucid. im lost, im lost, im lost just kidding but i am lost. and something else i wanted to know is there any speacle way to go to sleep to get it.( i notice my dream recall is getting a little better with the journal)
Hey well that is a lucid dream! Just keep up the good work. Next time you are lucid, try to just stay calm and try to get immersed in the dream. Try to see things, hear things, talk out loud, feel things, etc. Read http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=70131 , it should help! :) Congrats! :D
thanks i feel hope:banana:
if you want to know the basics, you should watch reece jones's lucid dreaming for beginers videos. that got me pretty far into layer 0 of lucidity (mentioned in other videos of his) and gave me basic knowledge of how to lucid dream without using an ILDs.
nice to be back, but anyways im still dreaming about lucid dreaming. the other night i dream i was at a table in someones house and i did a check and i said good im dreaming later on in a dream, i dont know if it was the same dream or not but i was in a play on stage then a bull came at me and i said oyah thats right im dreaming i can fly then i started to fly not good at all for like 20 sec and my wings was on fire. there was no reality feeling to it.(would dream recall help me with stuff like that)
