Practice. If your still new to it, it's probably normal. I've just started too and I haven't got one yet~! I'm excited though and I'm not losing confidence!
Well, what are you doing to get Lucid, exactly?
If you are lucid try doing voice commands like "control now" or something.
"Well, what are you doing to get Lucid, exactly?"
welll im not sure if i should try this since im new to lucid dreaming and all but there was this tutorial where you can learn to trick your body into sleeping but your mind is awake... there was this part where it said you'd become all relaxed and see different shapes and all etc like hyposomething images. well that happens then i remember just falling asleep. any other tricks?
That explains it.
Try doing reality checks instead of that.
Reality checks will get your farther then that will.
Ah. You mean WILD?
Yeah, based on what you've said, WILD isn't for you right now. Go back to the Tutorials and read the WBTB or DILD tutorials. Those should give you better results since you're a beginner. :)
Like DeepSleep said, try and train your mind to look for signs that you are dreaming. For example, last night I was able to go lucid for a few minutes (before falling back into the depths of my dream) by noticing that my friend had a 'Garrett Ace 250' metal detector. But in reality, he didnt own one, and I thought is that really right? Then it hit me... I'm dreaming!
If this doesnt work for you, just make sure not to get stressed over it. Remember, it takes time and patience.
Dont forget the difference between focus and awareness.
Focus is when you absorb yourself into one particular task, and nothing else matters.
Awareness is when you step back, observe, and just be.
Focus in one particular thing is likely to make you lose lucidity. Instead, learn to be separate from emotions and thoughts. That doesn't mean become a robot, it just means understand the difference between them and you, and learn to be you.
:eek:well i sort of just woke up and i had multiple dreams...except i didn't know it was a dream. i was just there. i tried putting a sign on my hand to let me know i was dreaming like i put an 'A' on my left hand just below my thumb but i didn't check it when i dreamt ! x{ i should've know it was a dream when this guy said my best friend killed Batman and the Joker randomly appeared really angry and started chasing me around :banana:but we got down ...and yeah... :boogie::boogie::boogie:
how do i remember to do a reality check :pirate:
and thank you all for your help! you guys are awesome
Whenever something is out of the ordinary, do an RC.
You should do a reality check... well, here's when I do them.
At school: when someone says my name, and when the bell rings
Anywhere: when I think about food/bathroom/water/sleep
When I walk through a doorway
Whenever I wake up
Whenever something's weird
(: That eliminates false awakenings, too.
X3
ill remember to do a reality check next time.
Happy early New Year
Yup X3 I love to help when I can
