hi, I am 18 years old, a sophomore in college, and I really want to learn how to have LDs.

:welcome: I'm sure you will get something out of this site, we're very helpful. Check out the tutorials section on this forum, there are a lot of great ones in there. I recommend DILD, WBTB, MILD and all of the attached tutorials for beginners. :)
Thank you all for the warm welcome! Well last night I tried to WILD? The one where you fool your body into falling asleep first. It was insanely difficult. I would wait about a minute, and my body would want to move, and so i just ignored the command and continued on. Then the urge to move would be more and more and more powerful until I would involuntarily twitch and ruin all my progress.
I drank roughly 62oz of water before going to sleep, and I actually woke up in the middle of the night! I did my business and then went back to bed, I don't remember falling asleep so it must have been quite fast, and then I had 2 dreams right before I woke up.
WILD is usually considered quite hard for beginners and it is very hard to WILD if you do it straigth when you are going to sleep since you have to stay awake very very long time. :)
Hmmm I'm not quite sure I understand exactly what it is, I like your Dreamworld series though ( I personally have a drawing tablet so I might actually consider doing depictions of my dreams ).

For some of them in particular I could probably manage to actually get a picture of the place (so far I only really dream in places that I have been).
you will increase your dream memory over time if you train for it :) also, I think that lucids are easier to remember ( at least on my case) since they are *more* part of my life that normal dreams. I think it is because of the activity I do there and because they are choices I make.
My most interesting dream, in terms of how I felt while in the dream (non-lucid) was when I was fighting someone from school over a girl, the whole fight was in slow motion, but I was being held back as if trying to punch someone while being under water, although it was much harder to swing than underwater, like in syrup.
Also, I am totally new at this whole thing, my only Lucid Dream- was me standing on my back patio and drinking some soda, i killed the last of it and set it down on the railing. I then thought "hey why not try to force it to move" so I actually believed that I could move it, and then I flung my arm towards it and it shot back as if hit by an invisible hammer. I then made a crushing motion with my fist and the can got crushed into a tiny ball, I then became so excited that I woke up...
I had just been watching heroes that night too, (someone on it could use telekinesis).
You may also increase your LD memory if you try to remember your daydreams. You know, those dreams you have when you are in a daytime trance, like when you are driving somewhere and all of a sudden you are there and don't know how you got there. You were in a trance and probably having a day dream about something.
I LOVE it when that happens...especially at work. I was on the tills once and someone came over to me and asked if i wanted my break... i told them i'd only been here 10 minuets...but no... id been working for 3 hours! LOVE IT :banana:Quote:

I think of LDs as a way for me to test my creativity on a whole other plane. I constantly come up with cool ideas during the day, usually when I am just relaxed. I want to be able to create a world for me to enter when I dream.
More specifically I wish that EVERYTIME I dream, I would find myself on a beach, I would look around a bit lost (in case it isn't an LD) and see a house about 100 feet away viewing the ocean, I would become curious and walk to the house, I would then (by numerous attempts at programming my dreams, have a giant sign there that said "THIS IS A DREAM!!!" and then become lucid), walk inside and see all the modern appliances redesigned to my own liking and be able to create ideas in my workshop.
I just have to figure out how to edit my subconscious to know to always plop me onto that beach.
