What was this?
Hey everyone, I'm new here. I don't know all the terms yet, so bear with me.
The other night I was dreaming and I was talking to my friend. She asked me a question, and I was about to answer her when I heard a noise in my room, and I woke up (but only part of the way, which was weird. I was kind of half asleep). I really wanted to answer her question, so I closed my eyes, relaxed my body, and started thinking about the dream and what my answer to her was going to be. I actually ended up forcing myself back into the dream where I left off, and then telling her what I had to say. I was sort of partly lucid after I forced myself back into the dream.
What was this? Have you ever experienced this? And would this be considered a lucid experience?

Hey, welcom to DV :) Here is a list of the terms we use here on DV: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=2954
Hope that helps :)
Anyway, I usually do what you wrtoe right as I wake up. If my alarm clock wakes me up and I want to get back into the dream, I will re-enter it, but it isnt as vivid or intense as it last was. Its fun though. I would consider it a Lucid Dream, bordering on day dream. It is a combination of both :)

Yeah, I've totally done that. I've woken up just as I got my dream the way I wanted it, or before I've done what I want to do, and forced myself to go back to sleep. Almost always, I went right back into the dream, and I had even better control and lucidity than I did before I woke up. I guess it's called Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dreaming...what a mouthful.
