What was it? WILD?
Hi All,
After waking from my second non-lucid dream last night, I realized that I woke up when a dream character was challenging me to a fight (I thought he was going to fight his grandmother, which for some reason was o.k. with me!) I woke up just as I was getting ready to kick his butt. I wanted to get back into that dream really bad and teach this guy a lesson.
So, after writing the dream down in my journal, I tried to get back into the dream and ended up popping in and out of a dream-like scene with the guy in it as a clerk in a local hardware store. As I tried to focus in more, I ended up in an odd state of mind that has happened a few times in the last few weeks. I'm totally aware of my body and can feel and hear my deep, steady breathing as if I'm asleep. I can even shift around a bit without my body "waking up" If someone comes into the room, I can open my eyes and be instantly aware, not tired or groggy. It's the most peaceful state of mind. I tried to dream or create something, but just kept having sensations like that "buzz" you get when you almost fall while rocking back on a chair or something. Except it wasn't scarey. It felt good. VERY good. If I had to guess, I'd say that I was in that state for 30-45 minutes before I attempted to let go and stop trying to do anything to see what would happen. Apparently I feel into normal sleep and had the third non-lucid dream of the night which had nothing to do with the dream I was attempting to re-enter.
Ideas? Comments?
Thanks
Bill

I started experimenting with WILD as well as reading a lot about it lately. I still haven't been able to WILD (actually not even LD), but it seems as if you weren't in the dream stage yet. Most people say you usually experience a sort of a jolt in your body, right before you get paralyzed for your REM period. I am still working on getting to that point, but by that time, you should be able to see swirl of colors with your eyes gently closed. Try to keep your mind conscious by making the swirls dance around into some pattern, but at the same time try not to pay too much attention or get freaked out by weird noises or images (people say it starts getting freaky at this point). After that, you should be able to start seeing scenery and all you have to do then is imagine yourself in the scenery, or picture yourself in the dream... for the dream has already started.
Hope that helped a little... the more you try WILD, the more you become aware of the stages.

Yeah, it seems like youre getting there but not quite there yet. I have the same sensations, Before dreaming you get some very strange and good feelings and scenes pop into your mind and weird thoughts and stuff. Ive never had an LD yet but when you get close youll know. Before you go into sleep paralysis you do experience quite a sensation. For me it feels like my entire body is being electrocuted sometimes it gets painful but just keep reminding yourself its all good. The vibrations are so intense for me, and I think everyone else, it feels like youre shaking intensely. And sometimes especially starting out it does get pretty scary. Id have to wake myself up because it just got too intense, but Ive gotten over that now.
Im not an expert by any means but everything you guys have experienced Ive been going through too and I know Im very close to conciously entering dreams, so keep it up.
