Someone explain this?

alright well, in my dream i was trying to lucid dream lol and although i was sleeping on my couch that night, in my dream i was in my usual bed...then i remember in my dream that is, i was feeling a falling sensation but i was on my back just falling back and forth down this tall building. i woke up in my dream and i was like dammit! i can't lucid! so i tried it again and went back to falling down this building but i didn't seem to mind at all..but then you know what?!! i woke up again in my dream feeling all lousy i couldn't LD lol. i go back to sleep and the same thing happens where i'm fallind down the building ladedadeda and i see Christian Bale. I was falling so i went back up and left the falling sensation and leapt onto the top of the building where he was. then i woke up. for real this time. :eek: what do you suppose i do?

It seems like that was a one time kind of thing. I doubt you will the same dream again. Just try doing more reality checks. Maybe that building will be your dream sign?

hey there, i'm guessing by your nickname you're a fellow aussie!

I agree with eppy, maybe a few more reality checks would be a good idea. If the whole falling and the tall building thing keeps happening, use it as a dream sign and remind yourself that every time you see that building you'll do a reality check.

Otherwise, just keep trying! LDs come easier on some nights than others I found. Some nights you'll find that there were situations where you really should have LDed but just didn't recognise the signs or seemed to have gotten distracted. Other nights, you might start LDing off the smallest hint that it's a dream.

Just keep at it, if you stay determined and get into the habit of doing reality checks or any other method you prefer, you'll manage to LD. After that, it'll hopefully come easier and easier (as long as you don't stop trying for a bit like I did! Definitely a bad move...).

i guess i'll try reality checking more. damn i hate when i know i should have RC'd ...:madtongue: oh well .

Most people forget to RC when in dreams. Just keep at it and you will have it as a subconscious habit in not time. Good luck! :D
