Hello fellow dreamers.
I usually don't register on forums , but by the looks of the wonderful work and warm atmosphere you guys have made here , I couldn`t help myself.
I am new here - yesterday was my first time on the web site and I am HOOKED!
About me : 22 year old Romanian with a very active dream life. Sadly it`s a .. dark one. I have at least 1 nightmare per night. I didn't come here for a remedy ( even though amazingly enough it might be just that ) because i got used to them.
It`s amazing really.. I become lucid in dreams because i have so many nightmares since the age of 12/13 ( 1 nightmare at least per sleep) so I developed a kind of self defense mechanism where I wake up in the dream ( not false awakening even though I've had PLENTY of those as well). Then I just stay in the dream and laugh at the monstrous clown ( yes.. Stephen King's IT has scared me at 5 years old :P ).
So - basically i have a LOT of dream material to work with - of course not all my dreams are nightmares , just 95% of them. So far I have had 1 LONG lucid dream - as in 7 minutes or so in which i managed to make light ( it was a nightmare, full of false awakenings in darkness) I managed to jump out the window to fly, and make the Rammstein band eat sandwiches on the side of the building with me.
My WILDs' are usually short and violent - but the dream sign I use isn`t the nose holding and breathing - I can look trough my eye lids and have 360 vision.
Now, you guys have introduced me to a WHOLE new world, and I hope to be accepted in the bosom of your community, as I look forward to reading a whole lot more and writing as well :)

hi welcome to dv..if this interests you youve come to the right place. Ive looked all over the internet and havnt found a better site. :) by the way i always find it allot easier to become lucid in nightmares(but that just me) so maybe this is your answer. any way good luck

Thank you Uppooloo :) The thing with nightmares - is that I`ve developed a sort of immunity to the "scare" factor. So insted of the shock part which wakes you up ( like hitting the pavement after falling, the old scary lady grabbing you) just makes me lucid.
And then the funny (and sadly short) part begins , where I get up off the pavement, brush myself off and say " huh.. " or smack the old lady across the face.
Untill now that was my way of coping with them - but a new age of dream experiment has dawned for me :)
P.S. This is my real life DC (the avatar pic )- been looking at her on my PC Desktop for years. And as a short and probably embarassing goal for myself - I want to meet her in a dream . (Not sure if the picture is real or computer made - never been sure of that)

Hey Azuraos, glad to see you here :) Sounds like you've got a lot of experience already, I'm looking forward to hearing some more about that :)
A lot of naturals do benefit from the material we've got up even though they're so experienced, so make sure to check around and see if there's anything that you've never thought of before but could try out. :D

Thank you Shift :) In the short time I`ve spent here I already found out many things I never thought of, and trust me I researched on the subject.
So at the moment, consider me a large mass of unfulfilled lucid dreamer potential. This is the first place where people actually know what they`re talking about. And you can bet I`ll try them out!
A few hours ago , I was reading everything I could here, like a hungry kid in a candy shop, then went to sleep. I thought - okai baby - here we go. Plug me in, jack me up, push the button and gimme what ya got . ( can a longer strain of clichees be made?)
So I had the damn dream .. woke up and went " CRAP !" Didn't realise I was in it.
About the Dream Journals ( again very good piece of information) but I won't keep any for myself - or at least I`ll post them here for other people. I remember almost all my dreams, which up until now sounded like a damned curse.
I even remember a dream from when I was 8.
The thing that got me, and you recommended as well, is keeping track of Dream Signs ( which i never thought of) so I`ll definatly keep track of that :)
