WILD "Surge of energy"...or something like that

Okay. So I've been trying to WILD about 5-6 times with no success yet. Can't focus the right way. Anyway this morning I tried to WILD and it occured to me that when I tried before at some point I felt kinda like a wave passing through my body. In most cases this just made me alert which ultimately ment failure. Can someone tell me what this wave actually is and how to prevent it from making me alert?

It could possibly be the start of SP. Why is it making you alert? Are you getting excited? Or are you focusing all your attention how how the wave feels? Try to keep your mind calm and only try to keep it awake. It might be hard but just don't think about the wave when it happens.

I guess it surprises me sorta. I'll try to set my mind to expect it next time I try to WILD

Only if you let them distract you. Just don't think about it if it happens.

I often get this when WILDing.

I disregard it as being associated with my body, and go deeper into just awareness instead.

It only affects you as much as you give attention to it, just the same as any itches or twitches.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

That surge is pretty common. I agree it can be quite distracting when you are trying to relax and concentrate at the same time.

Like Cloud mentioned, it has a lot more to do with your awareness, and less to do with your body. Nothing bad or unusual is happening to your body. It is just the feeling of your senses disconnecting as your attention turns inward.
