Well, there are two different ways to use RCs to get lucid.
1) Dreamsign-related: you train yourself to RC whenever you see a dreamsign, ans therefore do it out of habit when you see a dreamsign of yours in a dream, and you notice that the RC failed, and you become aware that you are dreaming.
2) "OCD" RCs: this is a new idea of mine. If you can continuously keep RCing in your thoughts and in your head for a while, and constantly, randomly, do them, you will get in the habit of doing them randomly with an almost OCD-like frequency (without even having to think about it. You'll just do it naturally.) If you randomly happen to do an RC like this in a dream, you will become lucid. And if you train this enugh so that you do it out of habit frequently enough, then you can make almost every dream a LD (because you will do an RC out of habit in every single one!)!
For 1, do what Higurashi said. Strongly associate your dreamsign(s) with RCs in your mind, so that whenever you see a dreamsign IRL you will be reminded to do an RC.
For 2, just do whatever you can to constantly RC until it becomes a strong habit, as is described. Write "RC!" on your hand, change your computer background to say "Do an RC," whatever it takes. And try to keep RCing and lucid dreaming in your head as much as possible. You don't have to constantly be actively thikning about it, but just, you know... keep it in your thoughts. Don't let it completely slip out of them.
And that's my advice.
