About artists
I told a friend of mine about my second LD who studies at the local arts school and he was very fond of the idea of LDing.Do you think that artists have more detailed and colorful dreams cause I read somewhere that a trained artist can notice much more colors. Also I think artists have very good visualisation skills (they should have'em).

I'm not entirely sure...
I'm supposedly an artist ^_^' And I have quite colorful dreams :D
Although I think that it actually relies more on the creativity of the person than him being an artist

I believe that those who paint or use some form of colored medium are more apt to recognize differentiations in colors. However, that doesn't necessarily translate over into our dreams. I rarely notice what color items or places are in my dreams, but I know others who do.
I think that depending on our personality and what we're drawn to, we are more likely to focus on certain aspects of dreams. I am more apt to recall events, groups of people (though not always specific dream characters), and places (which area always changing as the dream goes on). I don't naturally recall colors or what characters or I said or other minute details. On the other hand, I know people who easily remember what they wear in dreams or conversations they have with DCs.
Artists can use dreams and particularly lucid dreams. If you are lucid, you're more apt to take a closer look at the dream environment and take in all those details that you would normally miss. I've been to some very beautiful and interesting places and if I had any talent for drawing or painting or graphic design, I'd try to recreate them. As it is, I'll stick to writing and using what happens in my dreams in my stories/snippets. :)

That is an interesting question. It would make sense that the senses you focus on most in real life would carry over into a dream. If you are a very visually oriented person, your dreams would be more visual. The same could be asked of musicians, do they notice sounds more in their dreams.
I am an artist and architect. I am always anazyzing every building I walk into in a curious and judgemental way. I also pay a lot of attention when I see something that catches my eye. I will consider its color relationships, composition, ect to see what makes it beautiful. I definitely do similar things when I am in a dream. The environments and visuals stick with me for a long time after the dream has faded. My favorite thing to do while lucid is to just explore and see what I find.

It's probably right, a better artistic eye should maek better dreams.
