I woke up at 7 English time this morning and i am feeling tired, if i go back to sleep does it increase my chances of lucid dreaming? and if so which technique should i use to help? Thanks for any replies they are greatly appreciated

Waking up for a bit, then returning to sleep definitely increases your chances of becoming lucid. Check out some of the tutorials on WBTB (Wake Back To Bed):

Yes, your sleep at that time is almost entirely REM, giving you very long and very vivid dreams. :D
I can never even fall asleep in the afternoons. Too light outside for me.
As far as an afternoon nap, you can definitely become lucid during them. I know a few people who use WILD when they nap and you might consider a visualization-oriented technique such as DEILD. Otherwise, make sure you practice reality checks during the day and look for things that are out of place.
If you have vivid dreams from which you wake up, you can try DEILD to try and re-enter a dream and become lucid.
