confused little child

Hello... i'd love to have a lucid dream...
if i'm right, a lucid dream is where u have control of the dream? that happened to me once, and i caught a grenade so it wouldn't explode or something cuz i remembered it was my dream and i could do whatever i wanted.

but i don't know how that happened...

how do i achieve this more often? cuz it was pretty fun.

Idk if this has anything to do with it, but i have a huge imagination and spend tons of my time recording music, writing stories and poetry that are mainly fantasy-like, however you'd say that, or just lying down, closing my eyes, and daydreaming for hours. once, my "daydream" lasted all night, and it wasn't repetitive like they usually are, but it was an on-going thing, like a movie, except i was the lead role. I've tried to do that again but can't. maybe it's cuz of all the time i spend on the computer or doing homework late at night now-a-days. :'(

Sleep is the one time in my life when i really feel at peace... all my major concerns like... blehh homework... kind of drift away, like, "hey i could do this tomorrow. it's not that much." when it's a 10-page biology review. which is kinda bad, but i'll usually get it done the next day. i'm good at reasoning with myself when i'm tired. Also, at school, i usually feel like i'm in my own little world and no one can enter it except me. it's a morbid world centered on the worthlessness of life and pondering what this death thing is all about. i space out a lot when i'm in my little world.

I also have a little imaginary friend named Tobias which i write back and forth with in my diary... i guess that he's me and all but it's creepy to think of him like that. idk if that means anything, either.

so... am i the kind of person who could have lucid dreams? cuz idk. :dancingcow:

well so far as i can gather- and don't take my word for this because i'm also new- anyone can have lucid dreams, i just suppose people who are more receptive to it would pick it up faster. Someone more experienced will be able to help you better ofc lol

In a lucid dream you are aware that you are dreaming, you may or may not be able to control the course of the dream.

If you put in the effort, you can definitely lucid dream!
