Hi guys, I just joined the site after first seeing it last night, it seems like the best resource for lucid dreams available on the net!
About a week ago I had a dream where I knew I was dreaming, and I could influence the people in my dream to do what I wanted. I thought this was really cool and asked my friends if something similar had ever happened to them. One of my friends had heard about this and told me that it was a lucid dream I had, and that he'd heard about them in a movie. Then I started reading up on the subject on the web... And now I'm here!
I have pretty bad recall so the first thing I did was create my own dream journal on my laptop... Does anyone here have any tips for a beginner? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum :)
and congrats on your first Lucid.
You pretty much right about the dream journal, its almost essential.
Make sure you don't get too distracted when you wake, otherwise you will forget the dream. Go through the dream mentally in your head first then write it down. AS SOON AS YOU WAKE.
Check out the tutorial section for some guides on how to get lucid again.
Good luck :)

:welcome:
If you're just starting out, work on getting your recall up with a dream journal. You can start one online if you like.

Try to start paying attention to how you fall asleep each night, what your dreams feel like, and any recurring dream signs. If you have time, start working in a Wake Back To Bed (WBTB) whenever you can.
