      my first lucid experience!!....

      ... lasted about 5 seconds. I was on the top story of my house and I was starting to walk down the stairs and for some reason it occurred to me that I might be dreaming. I decided to look down at my fingers and count them and the moment I looked at my hands I somehow immediately knew I was dreaming (I'm not sure whether it was the amount of fingers I had or something else). It was such a freaking crazy experience. I looked around and suddenly everything looked so bright, vivid, and real that it freaked me the hell out and I think I woke up after like five seconds. Except now come to think of it I don't know if it was a real awakening or a false awakening. But it was still pretty damn cool . I can't wait till I can do that without waking up.

      Congrats on your first lucid! Mine was about the same as yours, but lasted a bit longer. Maybe 20 seconds. You just have to learn to not get excited. As soon as you get lucid, try spinning. Works for me

      Btw i prefer to focus on a dream object rather than spin. Thats just my opinion. This little experience you just had is just the beginnning of it ill tell you that.

      Good job!! My first one was very short too! I was in a taxi and realized I was dreaming! I immediatly tried to change the taxi into a lamborgini and I just woke up like 20 sec after.

      I guess this was a hard thing to do for a frist time LOL!

      Anyway GRATS!!

      thanks guys!!! i think i'll have this down soon . and i'm definitely going to try the spinning technique/focusing on object technique next time. and LOL at immediately trying to change the taxi to a lambourghini, that would've been cool if it worked lol.
