Apocalyptic Nightmares
I had a realy nasty dream a few months back, im March.
I dreamed that the our world was hit by a large object from space. Cant say if it was an Astroid or a Comet.
The wierd thing was that i couldnt go Lucid. Usally if i have a nightmare i at sometime realize that i am dreaming, go Lucid. But this was different. I stayed asleep and couldnt tell it was a dream, everything seemed so damn real. I really believed i was going to die.
Afterwords i woke up crying.
I´d like to know what you all think, know, or have expierienced. It might help me understand what the hell that dream meant.

hmm... It really depends on the content of the dream/nightmare. from what it sounds like it seems that you found it disturbing... If you want an interpretation, I think it doesn't matter, you shouldn't let it bother you. Its just one of those dreams where your brain thinks about it too much, and begins to panic.
oh first post. welcome to dreamviews!
:welcome:

I dont think so. My brain has been through more stress, and somethin like that never accured.
It was a real detailed dream, seemed to last for hours. and yeh really disturbing.
Thanks.

hmm... okay. just don't let it bother you to much. I know realistic dreams can really mess with your head. maybe you had some seafood the night before, eating fish always makes my dreams more vivid than usual...
interesting though - stress usually does bad things for my recall, and you had what sounds like a pretty epic dream!
-
Yep, epic it was.
But its not like its messin with me that bad. Just wanted to now what it could mean. But i´m good.
Fish? Never noticed food being a factor in dreaming. Think i´m gonna check that one out.
Anything interisting in here on dream expiriences´?

there are loads of dream journals here If you want to take a look. people usually post stuff about dream experiences in the GCD or Lucid Experiences subforums.
They are everywhere!

I had a dream just before the LHC was due to be turned on that the world was sucked into a black hole. Goddamn, that was scary.

I find that if the scenery around you is accurate to where you live or work then lucid dreams can be scary. I dont think you need to worry but, my dad mentioned once having a nightmare about a bombing and found it so realistic he could smell the burning when he woke up. Twenty years later and no bombing, no need to worry!!
