Well, uh, hi!
Hi everybody! My name is Iris, and this lucid dreaming thing is amazingly cool. I've always been good with remembering my dreams and kept a dream journal (as inspiration for stories and writing and stuff) before I knew about lucid dreaming, and one day I thought "Oh hey, it would be cool if I could control my dreams." I google everything, so of course I went up and searched "Controlling your dreams" and this was the first site that popped up. I was nervous to make an introduction, but I did it anyway. I'm glad I managed it.
There's a weird thing that happens though sometimes. It's like, I'm dreaming, and in my dream I would be eating a cookie or something, and I would be like "Huh? This cookie doesn't taste like a cookie!" and then I would be like "Oh yeah, I'm dreaming. That's why it doesn't taste like a cookie." and then I would just carry on with the dream without really thinking about it. It happens pretty frequently, and I was wondering if this happened to everyone else or something.
Thank you everyone! I hope I'm welcome here. :D

Sounds like you have a few low-level natural lucids. Try to start using DILD techniques like reality checking and stabilizing your dreams, and you will be able to take more conscious control of your dreams and then control them.
Welcome to DV :D I'm very glad you made your post. I think you're gonna like it here :)

Welcome. Lucid dreaming is a great experience once you get the hang of it. Oh and I have had some of those dreams where I think something isnt right, then I think to myself oh ya its a dream, either waking myself up or just going along with it. Now That I know I can train myself to lucid dream more often and even take control of my dreams, I thought why not, sounds like fun. Anyway thats enough of me wasting your time. Welcome to the forums.
