I have had vivid closed eye hallucinationz since I was a small child, and over the least 10 years, i've learned to take control of them (while awake) and create incredibly sophisticated/majestik art with my mind with no limits...
I rarely find anyone else doing the same, so I thought i'd ask if there is anyone here that does this?

This can also be called HI, or hypnagogic/hallucinatory imagery. (Or HH, hypnagogic hallucinations.) And yes, I know for a fact that you will be able to find many people on this forum who can discuss HI with you! (Unfortunately I myself a not too knowledgable on this topic.)

Hi DoktorJ, I sometimes also control HI, but not very often though. Happens on some kinds of drugs but at times also when I go to sleep and when I am very tired. I'd agree with spockman that there must be plenty of people on this forum who experience the same.
I occasionally control mine, but it's more fun and more productive (for WILDing) to let it go.
Like Ninja said, I can control them but I'd rather not. (for the same reasons)
It would be nice to see what you have created though. Does that picture resemble what you have seen? That's pretty awesome if it does.
I don't see or think I could see anything quite like that. When I get HI, it is almost always in the form of: mystical colored dots, strange swirling colors that I can't quite explain, or extremely vivid pictures of random things.
I rarely get the patterned, geometric-type HI. I normally just get vivid visual scenes and dreamlets that escalate into full dreams.
I get closed eyed visuals after 15-20 minutes,
and i really cant control them.

When i close my eyes when it's dark, after 5-10 minutes i get some type of floating patterns, they are greenish coloured, and they float on the darkness behind the eyelids. Is this HI?

I recently had an experience where I was able to control my visual hallucinations. I had never had this type of hallucination before, and the ability to control them came quite in handy as it was a bit frightening(for me) :3
That picture is a perfect description of what I get if I close my eyes in darkness, though often in a variety of colours. Orange, red, pink and blue are the most common, but occasionally I'll get green or even brown.Quote:

To me the initial poster's description didn't sound like HI. HI can be controlled, but it's a more subtly control than with dreaming, more indirect. Hard to explain.
That picture he posted looks more like an LSD hallucination.
The artwork I posted with the original post is original and fun, but doesn't even come close to the quality/complexity of the consciously controlled art that I have progressivly been building in my mind, which remains in-tact from experience to experience and is well beyond any 2d art or english wording.
About half the time I like to watch what the visions want to show me and do learn from them, but the other half of the time, I become lucid and take control, building phenomenal logical worlds within worlds. I have actually fabricated the most majestik castle within my head, with no limits on materials/lighting & seemingly impossible scenerio's within the 3rd dimension.
The only thing that comes close to comparing this creation process is how you can almost do anything within 3d graphic software...but this is a very weak comparison since the graphix are far more extraordinary complex and limitless within the vision.
More recently i've even learned that I can apply logical programming loops and functions to all of the objects within the vision...automating things on loops, morphing with math functions, dynamic lighting etc...
All of this is by far the most fascinating/funtastikal thing i've ever experienced during this life...and I hestitate to bring the subject up to most people, since they rarely understand/comprehend the complexity of it, and even more rarely do I ever find anyone else who does or who has ever attempted similar tasks...

but they arent concrete figures. they constantly change and move. usually away.
I was experimenting and how it would work is that there would be an orange ring that would close into its self from outside my vision and then once it close, it would transform then fade away.
I just picture things. thought of things. and after about 3 tries. i got it to turn into a bird
3 tries later, i got the bird to flap its wings.
i made a guitar. a penis shape(lol), birds, a face, random blobs, abstract crystal designs. etc.
Well not really me..all i usually get is swirling colors and angry cats..lol..
OH MY FUCKING GOD I just remembered I had this ability as a child. I would see M.C. Escher-esque patterns of faces, animals, and things like that. One that kept repeating was a pattern of witch faces with hats. It freaked me the fuck out, so I made it stop.
Oh, my God I want that back. Right now I am seeing a green and pink overlay to the white computer screen. It's fucking cool! This is real!

So you do this while awake and you actually hallucinate and control these behind your eyelids?
Banana: Yes, the energy (where everything is made out of colored light) is ever-changing, but with practice/focus you can control it and hold any wanted form.
It sounds like you're already starting to get the hang of it tho, which I think is Awesome.
I don't get HI much, usually just some flecks and pieces of color, moving across my field of view.
