Trouble with hallucinations...

I was laying down doing the "I will remember my dreams" thing and I saw some plasma-looking stuff, which the hallucination tutorial says I shouldn't focus on because they are in a different part of your subconcious. So I tried to lose focus of everything and all of a sudden I found myself for about a half-second gliding above a deep-blue ocean looking at a nearby cliff with waves crashing on its side against a purplish-orange sky. As soon as I saw it happen, I felt a surge in me and went back to the blackness of the back of my eyelids. Was this a small WILD or a random hallucination?

First of all, I'm not sure about this nonsense about it being a different part of your subconscious. Unfortunately I also don't doubt that that was written somewhere in the tutorials.

There is a thin line between HH and the formation of a dream, one that is still not 100% clear to me and that also seems to differ from dreamer to dreamer and dream to dream.

It's really hard to say what this was, and you yourself will be able to determine it best. It sounds to me more like it was just a vivid visual HH that you focused on too much or got excited about, but I wasn't the one who experienced it. It could also have been the beginning of a dream, but you got too psyched. Really, for those of us who didn't experience it, it's nearly impossible to tell.

Thanks, Shift.:) I guess it could have been a dream beginning, but I was still completely aware that I was lying on a bed and I don't see how I could be dreaming and have my mind firmly attached to my body.

Oftentimes that attention to your body actually transitions into a dream about a dream body laying in a dream bed; never ever discount a dream simply because you think you must have been awake! Not saying that's what happened, but I would never rule something out by that reasoning :tongue:
