First LD is a WILD?

I'm pretty excited right now, I been trying to LucidDream for about a month now and failed to become aware while dreaming. I took Shift's quiz on which is better for me, DILD or WILD, I got WILD. So as I was going to sleep I decided to give it a try from what I read up on.
I became relaxed and focused on my eyelids and concentrated on dreaming while conscious. Then my body felt really warm and then paralyzed. :shock: I started to get excited but nervous at the same time but I had to keep focused. My body felt like it was melting into the floor or getting lower until it wasn't there anymore. Now my mind is separate from my body and images are slowly starting to appear. By now my heart-rate started to increase and this new feeling overwhelmed me. I woke up. :roll:
I'm going to give it another shot, hopefully I can keep myself calm enough to enjoy this new experience.. :embarrassed:

You did good for your 1st time. When you feel like a lead blanket is being placed over your, that means your in sleep paralisis, and you won't be able to move, don't even try to anyway.

I tried at 1216am then woke up at around 1230am.

Awesome job on your first WILD! Not many people can get that far on their first try.

I say, just take it easy. Lucid dreaming is almost all belief and confidence; if you don't have those two things, you probably won't do well.

last night i felt really warm and paralyzed. But it was kinda like a nightmare i didnt now about LD's so i was quit scared but i could not move so i strained so it felt like i was using all my strength to move. In the end i was ok next time ill just see what happens.

I took the quiz, and it said DILD, but, I've tried a few times, but I've gotten much closer to WILDing than DILDing so far. I've tried every night so far, the main reason I fail is because I got an itch on my nose or something. I'll go through it this time, see if I get anything. Guess we sleep alike!

Why not scratch it? Don't need to make a big deal about it, just scratch it and continue on as if nothing happened.

Maybe we'll both get it tonight then manning :)

THIS IS THE EXACT SAME POINT I REACHED....I haven't LD'd yet but this is the same sensation and feeling i got.......especially the heart-rate increase. I Also felt a sensation you would feel similar to being on a rollercoaster (FELT GOOD)....It lasted for over a minute and stopped. I must have lost focus:(
