Hello!
I'm Leah.
I read a book-The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula Leguin a few months ago which involved lucid dreaming, and I thought it was just something of science fiction or something, until I ran across this site a little bit ago.
The more I read about lucid dreaming, the more it seems that I do it without even knowing it. I suppose I'd like to get better at it, but every time I become aware that I'm dreaming, I feel pain and stiffness in my body, and a lack of control over myself. Simply an awareness. I also sometimes get panicked and need to take quick short breaths to wake myself up.
I remember quite a few dreams that I have, but I'm only aware of myself in maybe a quarter of them. I only remember when I go to sleep extremely tired, or take naps. Most of the dreams that I do recall are either nightmares or dreams of very deep love.
I'm still reading up and researching all of this, and it seems like a really interesting thing. I think that I can get stronger with it, but hope that its not painful once I get more into it.
I look forward to getting to know people here and improve my skills.

welcome to dreamviews one!
When you become lucid you may actualy be waking up and you would be feeling the urge to move in sleep paralysis, but if you are actualy still dreaming just expect the pain to stop. Dreams have a lot to do with what you expect to happen, so if you want your nightmares to stop just expect them not to have them.
If you dont allready write in a dream journal you should start doing so, its very important to do this. Writing in a dream journal should help you remember at least one dream a night.
