Hello, everyone!
This is about my second or third time here. I've been lurking for just a couple of days and I put my first journal entry here today (not a very interesting one, I'm afraid..)
I first learned to lucid dream when I was a child, my dad taught me by telling me to 'find my hands' in my dreams. I still use this technique frequently.
I stopped doing it as an adult and then a few years ago I started trying again. I am still at the point where I can only get it to happen occasionally. I usually fly (which is my favorite thing to do) or seek out sex (something I'm trying to get away from since it usually frustrates me and causes me to wake up).
I still have a very hard time making things manifest in my lucid dreams..I try very hard to make certain things/people appear and they either don't show up at all, or they are very distorted and not like how I want them to look or act. I also occasionally get the lead feet and arms feeling, or try to fly and can't get myself off the ground.
I'm enjoying reading all of the tips and hints on here, and look forward to participating!

Welcome to DV.
Now, you say you have problems manifesting things in dreams.
Well, this is something said so often, but it is important. Remember it is your dream and there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to manifest something in your mind. I would say you should just picture it and make it appear, by thinking it happening... if you know what I mean.
Basically, the way I would make things happen, wether i were to make something appear, or make something happen (like changing the weather etc.), i would just either say it aloud, or just imagine it happening, and it just happens.
Kinda like if you were to be daydreaming, and you were sitting there just thinking of something happening, well its kinda like that.

Welcome to dreamviews!
If the above advice doesn't work, just sit back and watch the dream do its own thing for a while. Learn how it works, build confidence.
