I had an LD when I was about 7 (I'm now 15) which was a DILD (lol some guy stabbed me but it didn' hurt :shock:) and never had another. I found this site in the off-topic section of a pen spinning forum and am very happy I found it :). I can't wait to have my first (in ages) LD and fly (or at least do something cool :p
If anyone has any very helpful tips to complete beginner, I'm an open mind. I hope to get an LD in a week (don't know how hard this will be) :D

Hmm...not sure about LDing in a week's time. Not saying it can't be done, but it may be tricky. How's your dream recall? To expedite the process, I would recommend two things: reality check like mad, and develop a mantra. While you're lying in bed, waiting for sleep, repeat some sort of saying in your head again and again, like, "I will remember my dreams," or, "I will realize I'm dreaming." Something to that effect. The first one has really helped me with my dream recall. The difference (for me, anyway) is absolutely astounding. :meditate:
Whatever you do, don't stop RCing! Keep trying, and you'll be LDing in no time. :boogie:

How long it takes you to get your first lucid really depends on the person. Trying hard helps, but some people just have a knack for it right away while others don't. A week seems like a reasonable goal, but don't be too disappointed if you don't become lucid within that time frame. Just keep trying, and eventually you'll get it. On the other hand, you may have your first lucid tonight. ;) Good luck!
