Hi! New guy here!! :D
Hello everyone!
Just signed up to the forum after a few days of reading a number of posts!
So! What brings me to lucid dreaming...
Well I had never heard of lucid dreaming up until about a year ago, though I had my FIRST LD about 6 years ago! I have had 4-5 LDs in my life. All natural ones, realised randomly in the middle of a dream that I'm dreaming.
I was watching a programme at some point last year about dreaming. Towards the end of it they had about 10 minutes on lucid dreaming. They interviewed the guy that does classes in Hawaii (forgot his name). So I left it for a few months and then the term 'lucid dreaming' came back to me and I googled it and found that mans website and read thru a lot of stuff. thats when i realised this can be taken quite far, to the point where you can change pretty much anything in your dream (after a lot of practice). Then eventually I just forgot about it until a few days ago.
No i didnt have another LD, but since I've been a little kid my dream thing to have was a virtual reality machine. where you can do anything you want, be anyone you want and no1 else has to know what youre doing!!!
I figured I can have my very own virtual reality machine in my head without having to pay a penny!
So here I am...joining you people in this forum. most likely will need advice at some point and hopefully be able to give advise to others.
I will make another post (maybe tomorrow) about my 2 most memorable LDs, my 1st one and a very strange uncomfortable one too. I will EDIT this post and post a link to the new threads :)
Thanks for reading!! :)

Hey striker! The program you watched aired on Discovery Channel. It was a show about the human body and pushing its limits. The segmen they had on dreams was incredible and the guy you're referring to is Dr. Stephen Laberge . Make sure to read the getting started/welcome message our wonderful dream guide team sent to your inbox on here. Enjoy your stay!

Hi striker and welcome! I'm exited to hear about your natural lucid dreams, and I hope to hear about your first lucid dream where you tried very soon:D
And Jeff is right, I remember watching it for the first time and wondering lucid dreaming would be mentioned.
