Hello, you guys :D . I've been lurking on this site for some weeks and recently i had my first two ld's. They were totally awesome :boogie:
Now, my question is, can a tv or a computer screen affect dream recall? Lately i have not been able to recall any dreams, so i searched for 'dream recall' on this site and read something about screens being bad for dream recall (I'm almost always on my pc before i go to sleep).
I am pretty much always watching TV or on the computer before bed, and I don't find it has given me any problems.
Yeah, on my laptop 24-7 (well almost). I'm on it just before bed every night and I leave it on throughout the night as well. It doesn't hamper my dream recall. The only problems that I find with a t.v. is sometimes, when I am in a lucid and my t.v. is turned up too loud I can still hear it in the background and that makes a connection with my normal body. This can cause for short lucids, or very fuzzy, unclear vision in my dreams. I certainly wouldn't think that watching t.v. or a computer screen before bed would effect your recall though. people say that it's bad to use the computer or watch tv an hour before bed. The main reason is you might lose track of time, and go to sleep 4 hours later. If you're on dream views, it might actually help.

Here's a question for you; Has being on the PC affected you? If it doesn't, then you're fine. :) Things like this vary. Like Saturous, I have no trouble with recall if I watch TV or if I'm on the computer before bed. The TV being on sometimes influences my dreams, so I find that it can help me.
