Rc Failed
i was having a dream where i was just about to talk to one of my teachers at school
nothing out of the ordinary, the environment and everything were legit, and we were even talking about legit and recent stuff
the only weird thing was that my shoes were blue when they should be black, and she complained i was out of uniform
i think i believed it so much that my RC failed
because as i was picking up my things to leave i just did an RC discreetly and it FAILED
i tried to poke one finger through the other hand (and they were both normal too) and it did NOT work
my problem is that your mind controls whether it will work or not, so you have to believe that you are dreaming before it actually works --- but even then there's a chance of failure
will my RCs never work then?

I have never had that particular RC work for me either. I suggest the nose pinch RC. Close off your nasal passage by pinching your nose, then attempt to breathe through your nose only. In a dream you will still be able to breathe because your actual body isn't closing off the nasal passage. This RC hasn't failed me yet. Good Luck!

Try a whole variety of reality checks. Try the body of text/digital watch test, and the nose-plug one, too. Also, whenever you do a reality check, pretend that it fails and really analyze the world around you. Mostly, RC's are designed to get you to question the very fabric of reality of the moment. Try flying/levitating, too.

Just so you know, that means the reality test passed.
Reality test passes ---> real, or awake.
Reality test fails ------> not real, or dreaming.
-
i FAILED to get my hand through my other but yeah okay i get what you're saying
and yeah i'll try many checks
but it's so weird because my dreams are so realistic and detailed it's not funny
i'm gonna complain in another thread thanks guys

try the nose pinching technique first. Simply first pinch your nose and second try to breath out of it. then after that look at text and see if it changes.
-
The nose pinching technique has usually worked for me.

yeah i know i'm incorporating that into my routine now - probably much more reliable as obviously you'd still be breathing in real life
thanks guys
