Usually you'll dream that you're waking up from a dream in your room, in your bed. A lot of people make it a habit to RC when they wake up so that they do it in an FA they may have next time they're asleep.

Can you give me a tutorial link to do a reality check? Sometimes when im in a sleep paralysis i just gradually open my eyes and the weights that i felt on my eyes just loosen up and i am on my bed.

When you found that you were on your bed, did you seem to wake up again?

I don't understand what you mean. And for the RC link do you have a page that explained how to do a RC?

In an FA, usually you dream of waking up in your bed. A lot of times you do something in the dream, and then wake up to find that it was all a dream and that you're still in bed. When you came out of SP, were you fully awake or did you seem to wake up twice?

Click the second spoiler tag in the RC tutorial. It explains the different RCs and how to do them.

I have to get back into the habit of doing an RC when I wake up from an LD, I find about half the time they are false awakenings. I think the best reality check for you is simply doing a thorough check of your room. Try not to move too much because if you are awake, you can go back to sleep easier. Check out every aspect of your room and look for any subtle irregularities.

When you wake up, always do a reality check. Then it will carry over into dreams. I have had many dreams where I woke up, but was not really awake, just dreaming that I woke up. So I started doing RC every time I thought I woke up and I would catch false awakenings.

For me I always do three checks, I check a watch, look away and look back. Then I try to press my fingers through the palm of my hand, and then I pinch my nose and try to breath.

RC's can be tricky, for example I use to pinch myself, but then I realized in a dream i can feel pain, also a clock never always changes, nor can you always put your fingers through your hand, and sometimes when i do the pinch nose i cant breath in, but i can breath out and it has taken me a bit to get use to the idea, well if i am not suppose to be able to breath out either. However in the end, since I do three, one of them always fails so I can catch that I am in a dream, where as if I did one I would never catch it. So its good to have more then one RC. Try easy simple ones that you can do through out the day.
