Ayy. I've just discovered Lucid Dreaming and what it's about and everything a day or so ago. And I find it very, VERY, very intriguing. Aha. I just have some questions that may seem a little 'stupid' or goofy to anyone reading, but I'm just a curious dude. So here we go:
1) When you're having a lucid dream and you walk, run, move, etc.. You're not ACTUALLY walking, running, or moving in 'reality' are you? :P
No, your body is in SP (sleep paralysis) during the REM stage of sleep. No worries there, mate!
2) How long after i start practicing all the 'techniques' and whatnot before i might have a lucid dream?
This depends on the person. Most of the time it takes a few weeks before you get your first lucid. Some people it may take even longer. I myself (and some others) had a lucid the first night trying, so there is definately hope for quick success. Just keep practicing and the hard work will pay off!
3) When you're having a lucid dream, how long do they usually last, and can you do anything you want?
Yes, you can do anything (and I mean ANYTHING) you want. Some things are much harder to do then others. Certain things usually take practice to master. LDs can last anywhere from a few seconds to hours. My LDs usually last around 20 minutes. I have had two that were right at 1 hour long.
4) How does a lucid dream end? Like.. Do you just all of the sudden wake up, or what?
Most of the time you slowly feel your body breaking paralysis and waking up. You usually do not wake abruptly unless and extreme emotion occurs.
That's it for now i think. And i'm REALLLLY stoked about this. Like incredibly. aha. So any answers/tips/whatever would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again :)
Yeah, lucid dreaming is awesome. I suggest starting a dream journal here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=26 . I also suggest looking through the Tutorials section of the forum, they can provide you with in depth information regarding lucid dreaming and lucid dreaming practices. They are located here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=74 Good Luck to you!
