Childhood lucidness.
When i was a child, Maybe 6 or 7. I had a nightmare, My family and me would all be in the car driving along a road that was in a curved shape along a cliff. We would always fall of the cliff and plunge into some water. At that point we would all try to escape and i would always drown. Either leaving my mother greaving over my dead body, or leaving all of us dead.
One night before going to bed i decided i would not take this anymore. I went to bed believing i could stop this night mare. So on that night, The nightmare did indeed try again. We fell off the cliff and plunged into the water. At that moment i realised that it was the annoying night mare, I imagined it was all on a tape and i reversed the tape. It all went white and then faded to us all standing at the edge off the cliff alive. But the car was still in the water. I gues that was my mind saying i accomplished what i wanted. I looked at the dream camera and smiled and then pushed my self to wake up. I woke up and then smiled physically.
It was a great dream witch i will nevver forget.

When I was little I got away from many nightmares through lucid dreaming too, I don't know how, but I would just "realize" it had to be a nightmare.
Even though I was very young I remember all 4 times I tried to do this.
The first time, I was swimming at a pool, and a polar bear (yes, a polar bear) came and started killing and eating my friends and family, I thought, this is a dream, and decided that the best way to wake up was being eaten by the polar bear, so I went up to it (voluntary) and I could almost feel his claws deep in my skull, but eventually I woke up.
The second time I was at my house, and it would be infested with zombies (more like the ones in Zelda, the ones that jump on you and hold on to you while they scream) and I went up to them and begged them to eat me because then I would wake up, and I also said, I know its a dream, so it wont hurt. Right before the zombie started eating me it said "trust me, even though its a dream, I will make it hurt" it was so scary I woke up crying.
Anyways, the other 2 that happened are very similar, in one the "bad guy" was a vampire that refused to kill me cause he didnt want me to wake me up, he want me to suffer in my lucid nightmare, and the other one was even scarier, cause I wanted to wake up by screaming, but when I tried to scream (i was hidding so the monsters wouldnt get me) not a single sound came from my mouth, and well i couldnt wake up.

Yeah, I as well became lucid when I was younger. I used to try to convince DCs that we were dreaming, but none ever believed me. Sounds like you guys had some pretty crazy nightmares. Yeah Andres, the ReDeads from the zelda series were freaky for sure!
