very addictive. you can do anything you want
Welcome to Dreamviews!
I've been lucid dreaming every night for several years, and it never gets stale. I'm still amazed by some of the landscapes, the DCs, and I've not yet run out of cool things to try. :D
On the other hand, since you can only sleep so much, it will never get addicting to the point of getting in the way of your life. ;)
Welcome to Dreamviews! Like anything in life, it can be mentally addictive. It, of course, is not physically addictive. Like Naiya mentioned, I don't think it could ever get old or stale. There are endless/infinite possibilities.
It is like being addicted by game where you can reprogram everything. Would that game be addictive
Definately addictive. However, just like everyone said, it is only something that you can do sometimes (when you're sleeping) so it isn't an addiction that has any negative side effects. You can't develop health problems because of it, you can't experience brain damage, and it dosn't cost anything! Woo hoo right? You're the creator and master of your dreams, so it never gets old. Anything you can think of is possible in your dreams. There are no limits, and you can always try new things.
Take ciggeretts and mix it with cocain and heroin with a pinch of acid for cool effects, and if you stop... no withdrawel symptoms.
How depressing and emo-esque that does sound.
Tee hee
it's a natural thing, Lucid Dreaming yes, so without it being compared to drugs I'm thinking that most people that get involved with it end up like a moth to light.

This is a pretty awesome color, Conkt. Thank you. Now I can be even more annoying. Mwahahahaha!
But in all seriousness, lucid dreaming is not addictive in the physiological sense, nor is it addictive in the psychological sense. It's fun, and you'll find yourself wanting more for the sheer joy of it, but it's not a difficult habit to break if you so choose.
Oh, and welcome to dreamviews! :welcome:
