Newb Hello
Hi everyone, im totally new to LDing, i have a friend who described it to me and it just seemed like a surreal concept to me so, here i am. For the last week ive been maintaining a dream journal and been doing reality checks during the day. Ive already had one very brief ld, i pretty much woke up the second i realised i was lding...:embarrassed: but still im happy i had one.
Im glad i found this forum and plan on reading lots and lots on it. I find the idea of having a parallel universe in your dreams and the fact of sortove having a point in sleeping (apart from reenergizing... ) is very interesting.
ive done meditation a bit before and smoke marijuana on a regular basis. But this is a whole new dimension, i mean, controling absolutely everything around you is literaly like nirvana, so definitely worth a try for me. I do not see this as some kind of drug and i love the fact i found a community on the matter. I plan on religiously attempting to have lds. As i see it, its a vital life experience.
So basically, thanks for being here dreamviews!!
Noob question: my dreams seem very cloudy and unclear, like as if i was looking through a pretty small hole and everything around it is grayish. Only once in a while il have a very vivid dream, is this normal?
Peace and love

Welcome to Dreamviews! Yes, it normal to have cloudy/fuzzy dreams. This is due to the natural instability of dreams. Luckily you fix/counter this. The simplest way is to perform some stabilization techniques. They can be found here: http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=70131 . You can also try some supplements. You could read about some in this section: http://dreamviews.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=44 . Personally, I like to drink apple juice before bed and perform stabilization techniques. Good Luck to you!

Just a quick question do most people wanting to lucid dream use supplements?

Hey, Welcome! We love new members. And, to answer your question, many of us don't use supplements. Training and practice are MUCH more reliable than any "magic pill" or "Dream machine". However, the placebo effect is great as well. If you think something is going to work, like sleeping with your pink, ragged stuffed bear from when you were a kid, then by all means, use it! Look forward to seeing you around the forums!

supplements are not needed no a minority use them - I don't and I have many LD's.

Supplements are used to enhance the vividness of dreams. They don't induce lucids, they just make your dreams more clear/bright/etc. You will still have to become lucid on your own.

:welcome: Yeah, it's really really fun :D
It sounds like you're on the right track. If you're interested in using supplements, check out Galantamine/choline. It is the main one used by serious lucid dreamers. Currently, it is as close as you can come to a "lucid pill." It is, technically, a drug, so be sure it is legal where you live.
