      Suddenly struggling with dream recall...

HI, I've been practising my dream recall and remembering about 1 a night for the past 2 weeks but all of a sudden I can't remember any dreams. I have had flu recently though so my sleep patterns have been disrupted by coughing etc. Would this lead to lack of dream recall? Is it possible to just not be able to remember dreams for no reason?

Recall seems to come and go in dry spells as well. With that said, being sick could also effect your recall. I have been sick recently and didn't have very good recall during that time either. Just try not to get discouraged and stress over it. I'm sure you will get back on track, just keep practicing. Good Luck to you!

Important things for stellar dream recall:
Keep a dream journal. Not making this up; it works wonders.
Get a solid 7 hours of sleep per night, minimum.
If you like, mentally repeat "I will remember my dreams" to yourself every night before going to sleep.

Yeah...there are others, but these ones are fairly important. They may help to break you out of a dry spell a touch early, but like Yoshi said, dry spells happen. Being sick also seems to really have a negative impact on the whole affair.

      Good luck! Happy dreaming

Try autosuggestion, dream journaling, and try and find some Omega 3, that really helps my recall.

      Hope that helps... :\

No luck last night either but then I couldn't get to sleep until about 4.30am due to coughing. I think I'm just gonna have to wait till my flu clears up. Although I'll try the omega 3 thing and i already keep a dream journal

Thanks for all your help guys!

Woke up this morning with no recollection of any dreams, was a bit annoyed but then after about 5 minutes when I'd stopped thinking about it I remembered one!

That happens to me all the time!

They say that gently moving into different sleeping positions can help to trigger the memory of a dream. Also running through your common dreamsigns may help to trigger a memory.
