Induced Daydreaming
Ok well first off this is my first post on Dream Views....so Hello World!!!
But I have an odd situation for you guys. As the topic title declares, Induced Daydreaming. I've looked all over the net for information about it and I haven't really been able to find anything about it at all. So let me explain exactly what I mean. I have learned how to force myself to daydream through the use of music and walking. I listen to music on my iPod and just walk..
As I walk and listen to music I have taught myself to instantaneously fall into daydreaming and also be completely aware of my actual surroundings too. To do this I just put music on and walk, and it's not for short amounts of time, sometimes I have clocked myself as doing to for 3 hours at a time while walking. But only while walking though, I can do it while sitting but only limited capability.
It's is totally strange.... while walking and in these daydreams, I have complete control as to what happens in them, who I am, who else is in them, and control every aspect of the..plot??... while in these daydreams. I can also change the music I'm listening to to fit what type of daydream I am having, for example if I'm wanting a love story going on I put on music of that sort, or sad, slower music when I'm wanting a depressing, or sad scene in my mind. But the type of music that most interests me in this induced daydreaming is fast tempo, thrashy, or angry music because I can always imagine massive, epic battle scenes in my head.
Those battle scenes is the main reason why I believe I can't force myself to daydream sitting down because during these battle scenes I always end up walking extremely fast and my heart starts to race and my breathing gets fast and shallow like I just had a huge boost of adrenaline. And whilst during the sad and depressing scenes I can even start to physically cry.
So I was wondering if any of you guys have experienced something liek this before or what are your opinions on it. Sorry if I haven't explained it clearly enough here, I just don't really know how lol.

Welcome to the Community :D
I admit, it is a little hard to comprehend but I think what your saying is that you can daydream about different things through the type of music you listen to. A lot of us here at dreamviews would actually discourage daydreaming (myself included) because it distracts you from your awareness and which leads you to do the same with normal dreaming.
But you say you are aware when you do this? Hmm... So what exactly are you aware of when you do this?
I'll reread and try to get a better understanding.
Until then, I welcome and hope to see you around more

I'm aware of everything, everything around me. When I am in a daydream I am aware of everything that's happening just the same as if I am not daydreaming, I just cant interact with anything without breaking the dream.
And I've learned to use it for purposes besides just going off to some fantasy world. I've used it to calm myself when angry or stressed and the like and it's helped me come up with some of my best ideas for school work, writing, art, and whatnot . I really do use it a lot to get my mind to work at a much higher level than what I usually do and I tend to come up with things so much faster while in these induced daydreams.

In some cultures, they do not discern between day dreams and night dreams, there is only one word for it: vision. I once did what I call a wakewalking experiment, where I meditated for hours while walking. I saw Hollow Earth in my meditation. I had a dream with Raven Knight later, and it looked exactly how it did in my meditation.
I believe you are acessing the dream dimension when you do this.
You can use this technique to easily induce WILD's. Listen to the music as you fall asleep to induce the type of dream you want to have.
