Reality Checks
Hey guys, I joined this forum last night on somewhat of a whim, but I do find all of this stuff really interesting. I want to at least get to the point where I can recognize when I'm dreaming and consciously observe my subconscious at work. From what I've read, reality checks are an important step to take to reach this goal (one tutorial I read said that one should do at least 21 reality checks per day). My question is this: what exactly are reality checks? Do you just have to ask yourself "Am I awake?"? Is there a proper way to find an answer to that question? I'd appreciate your help, thanks :)

Reality checks are things that work differerent from dream to Real life like these are good ones
If you can stick your finger though your hand you're dreaming (Don't completely depend on this)
In a dream you can still breathe through your nose even if it's blocked (This is the best to use for me)
Text changes in dreams most of the time if you look at it again like a sign said "free hot dogs right here", i looked away and then it said "Selling a used car" and watches also change (don't completely depend on this)
Gravity is often off in dreams (don't completely depend on this)
When I say don't completely depend on this, it doesn't mean it doesn't wokr but they sometimes act right as if you wern't dreaming so the nose pinch is best
