New to the Board
Hey Guys (and Girls),
My name is Dennis and I am an undergrad at UC Davis in California. I have been practicing Lucid dreaming for the past 3-4 years and I am just recently getting serious about improving my dream recall and overall Lucidity. I hope to get to know some of you through the boards and get to learn more about the depths the of our dreams and unconscious.
I recently read a book Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self by Robert Waggoner and I was very impressed, I would reccomend this book to anybody want to learn more about lucid dreaming.

Hey welcome. I just learned about lucid dreaming a week ago..got really excited when I learned such a thing, as like most people, have always thought how awesome it would be do have control in your dreams...I had had a few lucid dreams before...simply realized that I was dreaming in a few nightmares and woke myself up. Since I didn't know about lucid dreaming, I didn't know I could do pretty much whatever I wanted. So the first night I knew about lucid dreaming I kinda did MILD..asked myself through the day if I was dreaming, and at night repeated a few mantras. My dream recall was ok...usually remember a few dreams a week. But that night in addition to repeating "I will become lucid", "I will realize I am dreaming while dreaming", I also repeated "I will remember my dreams". Worked. That night I remembered 5 dreams. Four of them were short nightmares(all were the same one)...in which I became lucid at the end(which was the freakiest part) of them all, but was freaked out really bad in the dream so I woke myself up. Then I had one good long dream..but didn't become lucid....
So I am going to try WILD one of these days...I wonder how well that works.
I'll check into that book.

Hi to sonomacoma, freakyDreamer and everyone on the board. :) Figure out that I introduce myself here rather than creating a new thread. I am currently an undergrad studying in a local university with some experiences with SP, LD and OBE in the recent months. Stumbled upon this great site by chance and was excited to see so many goodies. Most of my LD experiences occurred when I was mentally exhausted (school work/stresses) late in the middle of the night. They seldom happened when I went to bed early. Hence, I will definitely try out some of the LD induction techniques recommended in this forum.
