joining-- hello
Hello: my name is Antisequitur. I joined this forum because I have a great interest in the practice of dreaming. When I was fifteen I started researching lucid dreaming and dream interpretation. I have tandem interests in the works of Carl Jung and Marion Woodman, good Western dream interpreters.
I used to be at a point at which I would realize I was dreaming most nights. Flying was one of my favorite practices. I came up with some dreaming techniques that I haven't read anywhere. One is to fall asleep with a "wishing stone" in my hand, and "charge' the stone with my request for a certain kind of dream. During the night the stone grants the wish.
Recently I had a very vivid dream, using this technique. It was so strong, and a heartbreaker, that I decided to back off a little bit. Now I think I just want to hear other people's stories and the little things that people have found in books, and maybe do some interpreting.
I am a good contact for interpretation and if you want to talk about philosophies of dreaming in relation to waking life.
thanks :)

That's an interesting technique. What kind of stone did you use?

Hey there antisequitur and welcome to DV! I'm glad you decided to join us and if you need anything, feel free to ask :) There's something similar to your wishing stone technique called FAT (Focused Attention Technique) where one uses an object (like a stone) to focus their desire to LD. If you're interested in someone else's views on it, feel free to check it out. I hope you enjoy your stay here!
