Why do I move SO slow
Like it's very slow. I became lucid last night, I even pinched my nose and i could still breathe. I was in one of those LDs where you're where you fell asleep at. So i was in my bed trying to get up, and I was moving so slow, My arms, my legs, EVERYTHING. I thought nothing would get done. I fell out of the bed (in the ld) and started to get up but once again it was extremely slow. When I tried to move faster, I felt myself straining trying to do it and I guess I tried too hard and woke up from it. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way around it or is this how it really is?

Well, if you're a beginner it's quite normal. It happened to me so I fixed it by just doing my best not to think of having any kind of body whatsoever. Now in my Lucid Dreams unless I want to use a limb it's as if I don't even have them. Remember, it's a thought responsive environment so any mental blocks you have will manifest themselves.
Next time it happens just totally believe that in the dreamscape the thought of arms, legs, whatever is meaningless.

I've once had this in a dream. I was running and I just couldn't go faster, it just went very slow. This is weird though, because in a lucid dream you should have a lot of control, at least I have that. Maybe this was because you went immediatley in the dream, if you didn't like do RC's, or check your surroundings first you might lose control and fall back in a dream or wake up. I read that for a vivid, controlled dream you should first try to do some RC's and touch the surroundings so your mind becomes more involved in the dream world and you can exercise more control. I think there's info about getting a good vivid LD on the tutorial section, you should check it out.
Good Luck

Yeah what he says is right. If you're not sure about something in the dream you lose control, because it won't manifest itself because you're not sure.

Wading Through Water Syndrome? Typical dream phenomenon. Wish I could answer why it happens, but I honestly have no idea. Don't think anyone does. It's one of those "Dream Constants" that all of us tend to have happen to us from time to time.

I can relate to the experience. I've often had false awakenings where I'm apparently lucid, though when I get up and attempt to clothe myself, I'm haltered by some strange force that leaves me stuck in a certain position. It's as if my mind is lagging behind, and everything around me, even the make believe sounds of my folks preparing to leave the house and go to work, are all sluggish and twisted. It's rather weird and unpleasant.
