I need a little help-just a quick question

The first time I tried to Lucid dream a while back I lost a bit of control and it felt like I was travelling at ridiculous speeds around corners, not being able to lift my limbs

Last night I was in a very light sleep and I think I unconsciously tried it again. The same thing basically happened again but I knew I was in bed and could move my legs but my head and body were restricted

Did this happen to any of you lot when you were first starting out, or am I just trying to do too much at once and losing control?

Also, any tips on remembering the dreams would help like jotting down notes of what happened when waking up
