Ah-HA!

Yess!
I've been on the site for a short time, (about a month) and ever since then I've been doing reality checks everyday, didn't know what to think at first about it but thought I'd give it a try anyway...

I had my first and only lucid dream before I joined and.. finally!

the reality checks really worked for me and last night I had my second ever lucid dream (that my first in 6 years!)

It lasted a short time but its reassuring to know that I'm still capable becuase before I typed 'lucid dreaming' into google I didn't really know much about these dreams at all, as I'd only ever had one before and it fascinated me.

Anyway, it involved being back in China at the top of a huge hotel looking out the window. this was lucky because due to some events at school, looking out windows always reminds me to do reality checks.. (wierd I know)
and it clicked and I jumped out the window and flew across Beijing. Yes!

haha, okay well just thought I'd share this momentous occasion with you all. ( not quite sure if this is in the right forum... but hey)
I hope this is one of many more LDs to come for me! :D:D:D

I'm new here too, had one LD in my whole life(atleast one that i can remember), but it was an awesome experience.

Flying across beyjing must have been cool huh? :P
By the way, what do you do when you reality check? I didn't get really what i'm suposed to when i reality check. I'm just suposed to observe the enviroment that i am and ask myself if it's possible to exist or not, how i got there, etc?:?

Well really reality checking works for me by just making me question wether I'm dreaming regularly. I never actually reality checked in a dream, but becuase I do it regularly (count my fingers, pinch my nose and try to breath, check if my vision is perfect) it clicks suddenly when I remember to do a RC. I personally know instantly when it clicks, but some people may actually have to reality check to decide wether they are dreaming or not.
in dreams i suppose you have a better chance of it popping into your head if reality checking becomes commonplace.

and yes, flying across beijing was wayyy cool! :D

Its just the beginning of what you can expect from regular LD's, I am sure you will be able to fly accross the galaxy soon hehe
