Need a little help with WILD? :)

Hello, I'm new to the whole lucid dream concept and I just had a few questions about inducing lucid dreams using the WILD method. My first question is that is it true that you don't have to be good at dream recall using this method because your mind is in full consciousness? My second question is that is it okay to swallow your spit? I've heard many opinions saying that it is okay to do so, or that it's bad because it will count as moving while attaining sleep paralysis? Also my last question is the position you sleep in, is there any one that is better than the other? Or do I just have to experiment and see which one is best for me ..

By wilding your recall can be better than even "awake life". It's the best choice if you wanna ld hard. And do not bother about swallowing, any worries will just be a obstacle for you sleep. I prefer to just try to stay awake, no matter how time it passes, and surprising enough, this makes me sleep faster than I've ever slept, although I just managed to do a perfect wild one time.

oh, and you can wild even without feeling sp.

Hey, welcome to the forums.

Hmmm I think it should be ok going in with any recall since the dream forms around, you just gotta be aware that it's happening. I'm not too sure if you're actually fully conscious (haven't got that far in a WILD attempt) when you get very far in, might be more of a...decent awareness.

If the urge to swallow your spit is really high, just do it and continue on. If you keep thinking about not doing it (or thinking about swallowing at all) it'll hold you back, just keep focusing on something that'll help you forget about your body.

EDIT: If you can, try and prop your pillows up in a way so that you don't get that urge.
About the sleep position...I've heard that it's good to sleep in a position you don't normally sleep in (for me that's on my back) and if your effort isn't going anywhere, just go back to your usual position and hope for a DILD or something.

It's good to follow the guidelines of the tutorials but you will find your own personal preference, everyone is different.
