      Half lucid dreaming

a lot of times when i dream I'll kind of 'half lucid dream', that is, i say to myself randomly 'Oh! I'm dreaming!', and then either completely forget about it, wake up (not very often), or not completely grasp the concept- like I know I'm dreaming, but i don't seem to realize that I can do, whatever.

Is there any way i can stop doing things by halves?

Practice. Keep a Dream journal, look for dream signs, and consciously tell yourself to keep yourself calm and collected when you become lucid. Over time, it'll come naturally to you.

I've gotten were you are many times!

There are different levels of lucidity which I rate 1-4. With 1 being you can tell something is out of the ordinary...and 4 being a full blown lucid dream.

I'd say if your admitting to yourself your in a dream then your probably at level 2. Level 3 is when you test your surroundings to further prove to yourself you are in an actual dream (flying etc)

how to fully get lucid you must "break-through" the invisible barrier seperating your sub-councious mind (dream) to your councious mind (reality)

ask yourself..."I know I dreaming...where is my body right now" try to figure out where your body is in the real world. Try to remember or "dig" up any fraction of your waking life. Try to remember you spouse/pets/job etc...

If anything pops into your head when you try this...try to hold onto it...it can leave as easy as it came. The more you dig up from your real life, the more lucid you will become.

Now someday when you do have a level 4 lucid dream...don't panic...remain calm...adrenaline is a huge dream killer.

I promise you..the first time you have a full lucid dream..you will be hooked. It's like the ultimate hobby that you get to experience every night at bed time!!!

You'll find this a little hard. Making the connection or breaking through is something I have yet to master but like with any human ability..it just takes practice.

      Good luck
