New guy :)

Hey I just came here and I'd like to thank everyone for being so welcoming. This is the nicest forum I've been to in my whole "internet" lifetime, heh :P. Anyways, I found this site from an article I found on google which lead me to research about Lucid dreams. When I realized what it was I was amazed you could do something like that. So I had to find out more, which lead me here :). I am 14, I'm from Russia but right now I'm in Canada. I know I might be a bit young but I am really devoted to be able to become lucid in a dream. I just started to keep a dream journal and I can fill up about half a page every morning. I think through my whole lifetime I've had only 1 lucid dream that I remember. I always wondered how it would be like to be in my own world...I daydream about that alot. But anyways, just thought I'd introduce myself since Damascus told me to :lol: so ya. Hi everyone.

Oh and I have a question :)

1. I had a dream where I KNEW I had super powers...but I didn't know I was lucid. Is that like...semi-lucid? And one time I knew I could fly and I could run super fast like I was from the matrix...but I didn't think of being lucid and stuff.

Welcome to the group! Wish when i was 14 i was into Lucid Dreaming, could have done so much with it in my teenage years, help me with school, girls, life etc Nice to have you on the Dream Ship! Take up whatever place you wait, your life is yours to create!

Dreaming you are a superhero is great, i prefer it when i am only semi-conscious when I’m a superhero, playing computer games (Like Spiderman 2) can open up your imagination to using powers in dreams.

Thanks for the greeting :) I have a question.... would I still have a chance at becoming Lucid if I only keep a dream journal and I don't try Naps or WILDs MILDs or HILDs or whatever they are called. Since I simply do not have the time... Thanks :D

I keep a dream journal and dont follow that LaBerge stuff, its all text book stuff, it works on a self-dellusional state for me, i dont like adding a process to my dreams, if you keep a dream journal, you can become lucid at your will, just keep trying and telling yourself that you will have a lucid dream.....the king is awaiting your visit dude.

Keeping a dream journal is more often used to enhance dream recall. The more people focus on remember their dreams by writing them down, the easier it will be for them to remember what happens during the night. I already said hello in another of your posts, but I'll say it again: Welcome to DV!

Knowing your have super powers doesn't make the dream lucid. Here's the equation: control does not equal lucidity, nor the other way around. For example, I realized I had the ability to walk through things but I didn't realize that I was dreaming. However, you may be closer to lucidity than you may realize so just keep working towards it.

Something that LaBerge says about dream recall, basically if you follow this plan every morning, its easier to remember your dreams, therefore learn to become lucid after a few weeks.

Wake Motionlessly - Lie still, don’t open your eyes.

Wake Slowly - Focus on what you were dreaming.

Let your mind drift - Mental imagery - let the pieces fit together.

Drift through Dream checklist - anything that triggers a dream recall (emotions, places)

Think and Question backwards - effect and cause (how did you get there?)

Try different sleeping positions - stay in position for better recall.

Replace doubt with confidence and skepticism with belief.

Cultivate a desire to fulfill your goal in your dreams.
