Hello. I think I have a problem =I. I've always been a person who doesn't remember his dreams much... like I remember one every 3 or 4 months (sometimes even more). I started reading about lucid dreaming and became interested because I absolutely love dreaming.
So, last night I went to bed with the intentions of trying to recall my dreams and started to feel my pulse really quick and feeling numb and heavy in some body parts, after like 30 minutes. I got really scared when I started hearing some noises too (Like footsteps? ) and I quickly opened my eyes. This happened 3-4 times each time closer to another. Now I'm scared of going to sleep again. Is this a sign of something? What should I do?

Hey,
Don't be scared about the numbness and sounds. This sounds like sleep paralysis, and I had my first experiences of this recently. I noticed I could hear talking and words as I fall asleep, especially when I wanted to have lucid dreams in my sleep. I then woke from a dream and couldn't move, and didn't have full awareness. I'd imagine these are similar to what you felt. I'ts perfectly natural and is nothing to be scared of. You will become aware of various phenomina as you expolre your dreams and focus more as you fall asleep.
Rather than trying to be lucid straight away, try to just increase your dream re-call. I would say I remember 3-4 days out of 7 days on avarage. Sometimes more, and sometimes not at all. Just think about dreaming and read on dreaming and lucidity and your mind should find it easyer.
Hope this helps!

Yeah, SP is nothing to worry about... take a look at this video about it:
And for helping with the dream recall, start writing down your dreams in a dream journal. When you wake up, don't move or open your eyes... just lay there and stay as close as you can to the dream and try to remember it. It migth start to come back just a little piece at a time, but if you can just remember one part... maybe just a feeling or an idea from it... that will usually trigger more, and more, and pretty soon you;ve got a good chunk of the dream. Just having a dream journal makes dreaming something special and helps you to remember better.
Yowsa... dig my fancy new sig...

I woke up this morning and I didn't remember a thing from last night... I went to the train station like usual and there was a TV there. I looked at it and it made me remember a dream :D. The only thing I remember though was being in a room with a really big TV lol :P.
But I'm really happy because I cannot even remember when I had my last dream xD.
Thanks for all the replies :).

Ahahahah XD that happens to me, i try to remember most of my dreams in the morining and jot a few things down to copy up later. Then i wouldn't keep going over and over it, i find afer i've written what i've rememberd and carry on with my day i find that little things will help me remember. Especially when i talk to my friends, we have weird convosations, but you'll find that sometimes the slightest thing they say of topic brought up will trigger a memory from a dream. Sometimes it's halfway through the day when i remember what i dreamt about :) if you keep recording them and trying to remember, you'll start remembering more. Trust me it works :D

Hey. I have another doubt and instead of opening a new thread I just decided to post here.
I'm just wondering how long took most of you guys to start lucid dreaming? Last night I remembered 3 or 4 dreams (don't know if third and fourth were related) but I feel them really far away (can't really explain what I feel). I think I'm getting good with dream recall since I would rarely remember my dreams. Should I try something or just keep trying to remember most of the details of my dreams and just hope for a lucid dream?

Hmmm I dunno, I'm not an expert but I'd keep trying to remeber them and recording them and start doing those memory check things, well that's what I'm trying to do anyway :D
